It is the first die-cut I’ve done with shapes cut out of “middle” so that was extremely challenging to tackle for the first time

Shortly after starting the painting portion of it

This was also my first time using a monochromatic purple underpainting

so that influenced the focal landscape of this painting

“Soft Edges” Original Painting (study) pins It is the first die-cutAcrylic on Canvas 10in x 11. 5in I worked on this painting for two days (approximately 9 or so hours). The point of this exploration was to help me focus on soft blends and edges. I have a tendency to over refine and over detail my paintings, so this exploration was about consciously finding the balance of refinement without over doing it.
