This is a vintage Japanese wooden doll known called a kokeshi

Each decorated masks is 1 1/8" tall by 1" wide (3 x 2

The paste is applied through a tube (the tsutsu) similar to the tubes which are used by bakers to decorate cakes

Antique Japanese Shakuhachi Bamboo Flute c1920's in Playable Condition Chawan There are some minor scuffsThis is a Shakuhachi flute made of a Single Stalk of Bamboo. The interior is coated in lacquer to protect it from breath moisture. It is very old, likely 1920 or earlier judging by the color of the bamboo. It is 19" long. Please see the pictures for details.
