They use the same essential design of the more expensive Charm bird feeders. A "hammock" of welded stainless steel screen and stainless steel rods rests inside the frame and holds seeds. The screen allows for water to drain through, and the entire inside section can easily be removed for cleaning. With the Cheep! series I am able to re use the smaller sections of stainless steel screen
