Designed by famous architect Richard Morris Hunt in 1874. Significance: One of New York's first skyscrapers when built in 1874, the Tribune Building was raised to its present height by the addition of nine stories in 1905. And demolished in 1966. It was one of a group of prosperous, 19th century newspaper buildings front on Printing House Square. John
