The exhibition focused on the Impressionists late paintings, which were inspired by his gardens at Giverny. Lacking a horizon line, Nymphas inverts the conventions of Western landscape painting, representing water, water lilies, and reflected light in a harmonious composition of delicate brushstrokes.
