Large Scandinavian Mid-Century Stoneware Bowl by Thomas Toft, Denmark Lightning Base height including socket: 46Big oblong low stoneware bowl or centerpiece made in Denmark. Created by Danish ceramist Thomas Toft in the 1950s or 1960s. It has a glazed inside and a rough textured exterior. The rough dark brown chamotte clay on the outside contrasts with the shiny glaze on the inside of the bowl. It shows a hand painted geometrical design with botanical inspirations.
