The first rays of sunlight slip over jagged ridgelines and eroded buttes, bathing the rugged terrain in a soft golden light. Bands of shadow linger in the deeper gullies and ravines, while the higher plateaus catch the sun, glowing like ancient ruins beneath the endless sky.
