She worked as a seamstress, and would save fabric scraps for her own projects. In our family, she is known for her beautiful, hand stitched patchwork quilts. Some of my earliest memories are from playing under her quilting looms. Many of her quilts have been passed down as family heirlooms and now my kids have her quilts on their beds.
