He taught Max Frisch, was acquainted with Otto Dix, Paul Klee and Max Liebermann and designed a special chair: William Dunkel, later professor of architecture at ETH Zurich, designed the D15 chair for Tecta in the 1960s. Tecta carefully adapted the chair to the ergonomic needs of today and translated it into a contemporary design. Each seat shell is woven by hand in Lauenfrde.
