Part of Les Trois Vallees, the Courcheval resorts were designed in the mid century and host to numerous global and regional ski contests. This piece was commissioned by a client and the view I referenced for the painting was alluring to us because of the churned up texture visible in all of the rock outcroppings, in beautiful juxtaposition with the soft snow.
