1951 Hudson Hornet 4-Door Sedan Package:Collector Box Front end treatment was new1951 marked the high point for Hudsons classic stepdown design. Conceived in the mid 1940s by Frank Spring and Reid Railton the design was at first rejected by Hudsons President Barit who later changed his mind after trying a prototype and reportedly ordered it into production for the 1948 model year. The cars low sleek lines were reminiscent of Railtons designs for John Cobbs Railton Mobil Special land speed record car and the style of construction
