I compared this wine to a more elegant version of the 2016 from barrel and I think that comparison still holds

very intense aromas of cassis

It is a complex and deep expression of the Pinot Noir grape with a refreshingly uplifting

On the palate, the oak offers a classic expression of creaminess, but the acidity is bright enough to keep this wine well rounded and balanced. Can be enjoyed on its own, but pairs wonderfully with fish, chicken, and even lighter pork dishes.
