The 50° Mini Honing Guide Kit in conjunction with the 30° Honing Guide allows you to hone the special HP-8 Mini Block Plane and/or Chopstick Master Plane irons to precisely 50° for planing highly-figured or reversing grains in your workpiece

Gives a great finish on rip cuts but periodically cleaning wood fibers that may be embedded in the gullets (with an old toothbrush) may be necessary in between cuts depending on the species of the wood

The graduations are laser etched on the beveled surface which will prevent as much parallax as possible
