As the varnish is turps based it allows you to varnish both Oil and Acrylic paintings, and can be stripped and removed from acrylic paintings without damage to the paint beneath. A matte varnish is a good option if the painting needs to be photographed as this will deaden any potential sheen and make photography easier.
