Burnt Cedar Batwing Handplane Stylish Caps The cooperage was used toWe call this the batwing for obvious reasons. It's a double concave beauty made from fence boards found in the municipal dump in Santa Cruz, California. There's no fiber glass cloth here, just a nice, epoxy resin finish. The hand strap is made with nylon covered with off cuts from Hotline Wetsuit production, and the wood is shaped with our unique, ergonomic hand fit. The hardware is solid brass. We hand torched this one for that cool contrast effect
