The pierced rails of the shield back are defined by a thistle silhouette centered on a satinwood inlaid fan at the base of the shield. The seat has been reupholstered using traditional horse hair fill. English or Scottish, circa 1780. Condition: Very good overall condition. The rear of the top rail has a ding.
