Antique 14k Gold Woven Hair Mourning Brooch with Skeleton Miniature Kathryn and the intaglio scorpion (possiblyA large, antique mourning brooch with a 14k yellow gold frame and a display of woven brunette hair encased in glass, visible front and back. A small miniature of a dancing skeleton with iridescent smoke and stars overlays the woven hair, in a memento mori style, a later addition by EJM. This is a large, heavy brooch, measuring 43 x 33 mm and weighing 14 grams. The gold has a few dents form age, but the glass is in fantastic condition.
