One semi-useful modal ability Deep Freeze has is that there are a few cards in Arcades, the StrategistArcades, the Strategist decks like Hornet NestHornet Nest and Wall of KelpWall of Kelp that make defender tokens, and in a pinch you could technically use Deep Freeze on them if Arcades is out to deal a little extra damage
I was surprised to find it so high in this list, since it's fairly low-power
