My games swung nicely between building up cards before sending some at my opponent and using others to tick up my lore - or doubling down on one or the other as needed
The card portfolios seem more like a nice present for a kid, or a nice collectors item for someone who just wants to pick up a few cards
The Saga cards are the standout for me, giving motion to the Summon style gameplay from across the Final Fantasy games
Any abilities in the latter section aren't chapter abilities and apply no matter how many lore counters are on the creature
