Murderous Cut Destroying a creature for potentially 1 mana is very nice, but the fact that Murderous Cut competes with other delve cards for the same resource and is narrow in its effect reduces its playability
What if you had cards that got better with more colors
Cards like Hades, Lord of the Underworld and Part of Your World bring characters from the discard pile back into the hand, while Mickey Mouse, Wayward Sorcerer can keep flooding the field with Magic Brooms
Force of Will Banned in most formats, this is another card that has a home in Vintage and Legacy
Admittedly, gaining life on this sort of effect is historically more powerful, being more at home in midrange and controlling decks, but making the opponent lose life does make this card more at home in aggressive black decks
