I'm a bit loath to give this 800 burn damage, because of how much recurrence this card does
This is why you can choose to fail a card like Pokmon Communication the contents of your deck are private, so even though you put a Pokmon into your deck in order to play the card, the game doesnt know at all whether there are any Pokmon in your deck for you to find (and its this uncertainty that allows you the room to fail the search.) Since the game now knows the format is monotype, if your type is public information, you cant use effects that would search for Pokmon that cant possibly be in your deck
