The constant scry is also pretty handy, giving you slightly advance warning of what's coming up in your deck
They don't copy whether that creature was tapped or untapped, whether it had any counters on it, whether it had any Auras and/or Equipment attached to it, or any non-copy effects that changed its power, toughness, types, color, and so on
Back then just having the appropriate equipment was enough to win a lot of games and so Stoneforge being an extra copy in your deck of one of those combined with being a Squire to equip was pretty absurd
It feels at home in a multiplayer enviroment, and when you're playing commander, everyone has at least one legendary creature to play with
However, this is likely done on purpose, because both hedgehogs' effects make them great rivals on opposing sides of the battlefield
