I think there was an immediate understating of what the game is about
The activation cost is unaffected if it already costs one or zero mana (such as the activation cost of Zirda's last ability)
Of course, the included dividers and tokens might go unpunched by seasoned players, but especially in the case of MtGxFinal Fantasy, every Bundle is someones first, so their inclusion is appreciated, especially as a way to mitigate packaging waste
Its ability leans heavily on you sacrificing permanents, and there are plenty of artifacts that sacrifice themselves to be activated
The power of Fauna Shaman is that it allows us to play a lot of one-ofs but still find them consistently, while also filling our graveyard for The Cauldron of Eternity
Meathook Massacre II is probably the most egregious example of this
