I think the only time it is more desirable than a black tutor is when you are relying on Channel as one of your effects which is a pretty bad starting place for any list
The first list included: All cards from Alpha and Beta that werent reprinted in Fourth Edition or Ice Age , including the iconic Power 9 All uncommon and rare cards from Arabian Nights and Antiquities that hadnt been reprinted with a white border (i.e., that werent reprinted in Revised , Fourth Edition , or Chronicles ) All rare cards from Legends and The Dark that hadnt been reprinted with a white border Afterwards, more and more cards were added to the reserved list until Mercadian Masques was released in 1999
Most graveyard hate cards only require a small amount of mana to cast (and sometimes can be played for free)
Its especially brutal if you can flash this in as a combat trick, since most players wont dare to attack when this is on their creature
You can then pay three mana and tap it to remove a page counter and draw a card
This deck has a small motif featuring the number seven, and with Aerith, it's probably best to gain seven life once than one life over seven turns
