Vigor makes your creatures effectively unstoppable in combat, and you can do some pretty silly things with red damage-based board wipes like Blasphemous Act (although it doesnt prevent the damage to itself)

This setup cost coupled with Sarumans hefty mana value causes this Commander to lose a lot of luster

Many go-to cards that youd cast on opponents turns would be Counterspell and its ilk, but giving Counterspell suspend wont do much for you
