There is incised decoration on the outer surfaces of the cheekpieces at the point where the mouthpiece joins

This case has a curved outline

The bone has darkened with age and there is a fine crack on the top of the head (please look at the images)

both have old scars and scratched and there are some old (long dead) woodworm holes on the underside of one

aged patina with a little surface pitting

The spur has a long neck these developed to reach under horse bardings or armour. The heel bands are curved, they would pass below the rider's ankle bone. There is a line of incised decoration around the heel band.
