Fontanafredda, Barolo DOCG Lazzarito Vigna La Delizia, 2019 South Eastern Australia as well as plots inBarolo Lazzarito 2019 has an irresistibly scrumptious nose of crisp, fresh red fruit alongside autumnal, woodsy notes, dried cherries, fragrant hay, bletted rosehips, dried figs and a hint of peppered steak. As befits a bona fide Barolo, there's quite a bit of tannin here, but it's astonishingly silky and suave, and there's fine balance and lovely ripeness. This is a really special, elegant bottle, and there's nothing to stop it being enjoyed
