The undersides of the stirrups are stamped with arrow ordnance marks

The leather over one arch is damaged and needs re-covering

A Bronze 17th Century Rowel Spur - Spur363 sidesaddle Ref : whip1332This spur is made of bronze, it has a dark green patina. It has a star shaped revolving rowel which still turns. The rowel has eight sharp points. The neck has incised decoration and curves downwards. One heel band is broken, the other curved to accommodate the rider's ankle bone.
