There are two saddle straps on the back for attachment to the D rings of a saddle, These are in good condition. There is also a strap on the back with a brass D ring on each end. The lid of the case is curved and closes with a brass buckle fastening. The lid is stamped "597". Under the lid the front of the case is stamped "J. Cripps 1915" . The case is unlined. There is an interior partition across the case and the front section
