Georgiev Milkov, Pet-Nat Funky Mavrud, 2023, 11.5% Pet Nat High-toned acidity and firm mineralityYet another cracker from Bulgaria, this is a light pink Pet Net (i. e. bottle fermented sparkling wine). Made from the indigenous Mavrud variety, this has notes of red fruit and a slight funkiness which lends additional interest. Really moreish! Pairing: A good aperitif, or get creative and try this with some Asian food we love pairing sparkling with main courses!
