I thought I would photograph the sunset from Eakin Creek West first

I awakened to a heavy fog outside and was up and out the door to photograph the wildflowers before 5:00 am

A small waterfall graces its presence along glacier creek with the mornings first light illuminating Thatchtop Mountain along glacier gorge trail in Rocky Mountain National Park

Watching the colors of the sunrise shift from a purple hue to orange and then blue as those colors are reflected onto a calm and peaceful Wildflower Lake

I continued on along the trail at Wildflower Park where the early morning sun was still low to the horizon
