An old steel ring bit with a dark parina and some russet surface oxidation

The mouthpiece is stamped "Never Rust" and "Solid Nickel"

Each is stamped inside "Swaine & Adeney Best Super Nickel"

There are two fine cracks on the back of the horn

The steel is tarnished in places. The underside of the iron is stamped "Owen" and "London" It has its original leather which is stamped "Owen & Co., 125 .. ount Street, London". There is a steel safety fitting at the top of the leather, this is stamped "2305" Dimensions of iron : External Width 4" (10. 8cm), height 5" (13. 8cm), depth of tread 2" (5. 2cm) Internal width 4" (10cm)
