It is stamped "Swaine & Adeney, London". The hallmarks are too rubbed to read but the shapes of the stamps match those of the Edwardian period (1901 1910). The slightly flexible shaft or stock is covered in mahogany coloured braided leather. It ends in a small stitched keeper.
