It has a  frontispiece and fifteen black and white illustrations one plate has become detached

The spurs have buttons at each end of the heel bands

The lifts themselves are in good condition

The long necks are curved in a swan or goose shape

1893 Long Hunting Whip by Zair - w1002 button-spurs 6cm (2¼")This whip has a staghorn handle with a raised "gatepusher" section. It has a silver collar which is hallmarked Birmingham 1893 and has the silversmith's mark "G & J Z." for ZairThe collar has many small dents and dings and is engraved " TJJ". The long stock or shaft is golden brown malacca cane with its characteristic "tear drop" cross section.. There are four dark ( possibly scorch) marks on the shaft. It has a replacement leather open keeper or loop
