Adding water to an absinthe using a carafe was the most popular method of preparing traditional French/Swiss absinthe during the Belle Époque period

Arrow Absinthe Spoon with Flat Sides Gold-Plated Stained Glass Absinthe Spoon #20 It is named after ThéophileThis absinthe spoon is usually referred to as the Arrow spoon because of the small arrow cutouts in its grille. It is very similar to our other Arrows Absinthe Spoon, but the difference is that this one has a flatter surface, as opposed to the slight rise on the sides of our other Arrows spoon. It is a faithful reproduction of an original pre ban (before 1915) antique absinthe spoon.
