I guess they both work with the creatures with mana value 5 or greater theme, but I personally think they feel really out of place, both mechanically and thematically

The Pokmon Trading Card Game is very similar, with each of your regular Pokmon cards being valuable

That all said, Lochmere Serpent will be better than typical one-ofs in control decks
