5 Grim Monolith Dont Look So Grim For just two mana you can generate three mana, making Grim Monolith a pretty darn good fast mana rock for Commander, but there are two things holding this card back

This is a major foundation for a huge number of combo decks in modern, legacy, and commander

This card is incredible against combo decks, especially with hand disruption and forced discard effects like Thoughtseize

Together as One is passable at three colors and only gets better the more you can manage

Not to mention also quite good in Modern, as part of the Hammer Time archetype
