Because Affinity relies on a few cards to do the heavy lifting on killing you, and you have good, versatile answers to artifacts, you can often slow them down substantially even without an Ensnaring Bridge if you have two Abrupt Decay / Pyroclasm / other similar cards, or one and an Inquisition or Pithing Needle
The concept is reasonable: the card stock, the ink, and the number of layers are controlled in a manufacturing process so the cards should be close to the same weight within reason
