While this can be a little dangerous (especially against Phelddagrif decks), you can harness this effect to enable some extra mana for cards like Vampiric Tutor, Entomb, Infernal Grasp, or Village Rites while still tapping all your lands on your turn
Elves know where to harvest the best of the forest, for they planted it there themselves
Should you get enough mana to Harness it, this card becomes even more obscene
In essence, you could exile a bunch of instants or sorceries from your hand to tee up a big flurry aimed at your opponent, while also getting access to more card draw with which to punish them
I agree that CCGs have a fundamentally different model, but in the standard CCG model, yes, there are ultra-rare cards, but most anyone who is a serious player will be buying enough copies to end up with one or more of them, and no one card should be significantly better than the others
These were given out to judges in MTG tournaments and, as such, are incredibly rare
