Regular readers know that Im not much of a fan of cards that take away the game from players, so its no secret that Im not going to be putting God-Pharaohs Statue into any decks

Any card that targets a creature and has a cantrip effect also becomes a mass card draw spell: cast a one mana Crimson Wisps or Expedite targeting Zada, and you'll draw a card for each creature you control

This 2-drop faerie is here to squeeze an extra activation out of Baru each turn

The deck has a lot of political cards that want our opponents attacking, so we're a bit weaker when paired against decks that have no interest in combat or constantly wipe the board

It also strips out many lands from your deck, and over a few turns, it dramatically reduces your chances of drawing a land, thus increasing card quality from the rest of your deck
