The ability to make copies of your creatures over and over again is really powerful, and the best of the lot is this lord ability

If you think of this ability as tapping to make a vanilla token, it sounds pretty good -- and that's basically what it is, even if it does take the extra step of having something in your graveyard

In testing, we found Diminishing Returns difficult to resolve at four mana, and even if you did so you were often tapped out even in the late game due to a flurry of instants being cast with it on the stack

They are supported by some of the best Izzet spells in the game, with counterspells, removal, and plenty of card draw

The ability to control an opponent's graveyard is essential, and being able to play their creatures as zombie tokens later on is just a really nice bonus

Ishgard, the Holy See is always worth including in a white deck, even with only a couple of available targets for the spell, but it gets more desirable the more invested you are in artifacts and/or enchantments
