There was one deck tech that I vividly remember as far and away my favorite: a combo deck named "Trix." It took an awful-looking joke card, Donate, and paired it with Illusions of Grandeur to turn into a tournament-winning combo: you play Illusions of Grandeur, gain 20 life, then Donate it to your opponent who will eventually lose 20 life when they can't pay the upkeep cost
