As long as you get poison counters onto your opponents, thats all you need to make Vishgraz into a threat for commander damage, too

Decks that want this type of cards are usually sacrifice-oriented commanders, and Ive seen a Kazuul's Fury + Body of Research combo deck in its Standard format as a viable option
