Bisque fired to 1000 degrees when dry

A forget me not is then painted by hand on top of the glaze using oxides

The piece is then put back into the kiln for its third and final firing

The piece is then decorated using a ceramic pencil

Pelargonium Side Plate - #26 Bowls Frost safe to -5 degreesStoneware plate, thrown on the wheel by hand with a turned flat base. Decorated with slip trailed and sgraffito detail. Fired once to 1000 degrees celsius, then signed and waxed. Dipped into a glossy transparent glaze and decorated using a combination of stains and oxides. Once dry the piece is ready for its final 1240 degree firing. Dishwasher and microwave safe though discouraged for longevity. This is a one of a kind piece. Approximately: 18cm
