Pūrerehua (Toggle) - Nā James Davidson of Carve It mahana throw snap or guess whoN James Davidson of Carve It These handmade taonga poro (instruments) are lovingly designed and created by James Davidson, a Mori carver based here in the Bay of Plenty. Prerehua means butterfly in Te Reo Mori, in reference to its motion of flying spinning. This instrument is designed to be swung in a circle, creating a whirring or buzzing sound which mimics the sounds of insects or wind. Prerehua were said to have a few different uses including
